Triangle Tower

Brief

  • This project is about building a single structure as high as possible.
  • The basic structural shape is a triangle, attached upon another triangle, to create a star shape.
  • An individual strip of brown paper (180mm long) is folded in half twice and stapled to create a new width of 60mm. Then 2 holes and 2 slits are made in the strip and a 60mm rod attches this strip to others to form the triangle. The triangle forms are interlocked via the slits and increase the height of the structure.
  • At the bottom of this tall, star-shaped structure is a floor piece (the structure's foundations) to increase the form's strength.
  • The result is an exoskeleton of brown paper reaching a height of 1000mm.
