About me

I am a creative, passionate and collaborative designer.

Following a Foundation Diploma at Leeds College of Art, where I was awarded a Distinction, I have now completed my degree in 3D Design: Product & Furniture at Northumbria University.

I have lived in London, Leeds and Newcastle but I am inspired by rural as well as urban environments. My interest in the outdoors and nature helps me to incorporate organic and sustainable forms in my work. It has led to a passion for Scandinavian design, with its influential core principles of nature, functionality and efficiency, which in turn, has determined my third-year final project at university. This also inspired my first year dissertation which discussed how Scandinavian designers reconcile a sense of tradition or national or cultural identity with innovative design.

I am constantly coming up with new ideas, not all them are realistic or revolutionary, but they do ignite my design process and lead to practical and beautiful objects. I take my creative inspiration from my surroundings and the need to create useful solutions. I love solving problems with three dimensional objects and I am wanting to learn and develop my skills within the design industry.

Sustainable, pure and ergonomic principles drive my design process.

People describe me as:

  • Imaginative
  • Innovative
  • Curious
  • Personable and confident
  • Communicative
  • Collaborative
  • Dedicated

I am always thinking about how to improve the future, especially through sustainable design, making things easier for people to use and understand.
